Thank you for visiting the Deale Elementary PTA website.

Our PTA is a very community-involved organization, with a modest budget. We work hard to maintain and improve the home-school connection that is so strong at Deale. We sponsor many activities during the school year that are not primarily fundraisers such as dances, our Holiday Bazaar and Breakfast with Santa, socials, and awards ceremonies. All of these help to make the school a visible presence in the community and help the students believe that school is a fun and important place in their hearts as well as a learning institution.

We finance many school activities, in whole or in part, including dance club, field trips (including the 5th Grade Williamsburg overnight trip), D.A.R.E., drownproofing, cultural arts programs, music programs, our year-end picnic, and school and grounds beautification.

We sponsor a scholarship program for Southern High School seniors who attended Deale, which awards up to $1000 a year to college-bound students.

We have many members who are actively involved in local children's groups and business organizations to help cement Deale's ties to the community.

Out PTA has proven that it can be a prominent voice publicly and politically when necessary.

We are also a member of the Southern Educational Alliance, which is a group comprised of PTA officers from the elementary schools which feed Southern Middle School, to allow cooperation between local schools of common interest.

With all of this activity, there is plenty of good work to be done on behalf of our school and its students, parents and faculty. I welcome anyone who wishes to participate. Please contact us through the school office if you have any questions or concerns.
